FIELD NOTES
Select a material and drag inside the glass. Sand falls and sinks; water flows; oil floats. Water touching fire becomes steam. Water cools lava into rock. Ferns grow into neighboring water. Fire spreads through wood, oil and ferns. Ice melts near water or heat.
Paint pauses the world while you draw. Pause lets you compose; Step advances one tick. Undo stroke restores the whole world from before your last mark. Empty glass clears the world; presets start fresh scenes. Discoveries stay collected on this device.
Keyboard: focus the glass, arrows move your brush, Space paints, [ and ] resize. P pauses. 0–9 choose materials; E erases; T selects steam. Mouse, pen and touch also work.
This is a playful cellular toy, not a scientific fluid model. It adapts Sandspiel’s falling, density-exchange, flow, burning and growth rules into a compact JavaScript subset; it omits the upstream pressure solver, online gallery and other materials. Steam, experiments, scenes and artwork are new.
